Terms of service
Draft. Last updated 13 October 2026.
These terms cover the website we build for you and, if you choose it, the care plan afterwards. Word of Mouth Websites is a trading name of Pursuit Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14006507). Registered office: Unit 4 Lancaster Place, South Marston Industrial Estate, Swindon SN3 4UQ. VAT number GB420275824.
1. Your preview
We may build a preview homepage for your business before you've agreed to anything. Looking at it is free. If you don't want to go ahead, say so or just ignore it. You owe us nothing.
2. What you get
For £750 plus VAT at 20% (£900 in total) we build you a website of up to 5 pages: Home, Services, About, Reviews and Contact {{CONFIRM PAGE COUNT}}. It includes:
- the words, written for you from your Google profile, your reviews and your answers on our intake form;
- a design based on the preview you saw, that works on phones;
- a contact form, tap-to-call, a Google map, your opening hours and your Google reviews;
- a .co.uk domain registered in your name, or connection of a domain you already own;
- a security certificate (the padlock in the address bar);
- basic set-up so Google can read the site properly: page titles, descriptions and business details;
- linking your Google Business Profile to the new site, by showing you how or, with your permission, doing it for you;
- one round of changes before the site goes live;
- your first 12 months of hosting.
It doesn't include business email, online shops, booking systems, blog writing, logo design, or ongoing search or advertising work. We're happy to quote for those separately.
3. Paying
You pay the full price when you say yes, through our secure payment page (run by Stripe). We send a VAT receipt. We start work once the payment has cleared.
4. What we need from you, and how long it takes
After you pay, we send a short form. It takes about ten minutes on a phone. We build the site from your answers and show it to you on a private link.
You then tell us about any changes, all in one go. That's your one round of changes. Once you've approved the site, we put it live within 7 days. If we're waiting on something from you, such as answers to the form or access to a domain you already own, the 7 days start when we have it.
Changes asked for after your round of changes, or after the site is live, are charged {{EXTRA WORK RATE}}, unless you're on the care plan and they fit within its monthly allowance.
5. Cancelling
If you change your mind after paying but before we've started building, we'll refund you in full. Once building has started, {{ADVISER: REFUND TERMS AFTER WORK STARTS}}.
These terms are for businesses. If you're buying as a consumer rather than for your business, tell us before you pay, because different rules apply.
6. Who owns what
Once you've paid in full:
- the domain is yours and is registered in your name;
- the words we write for you and the photos and logo you give us are yours;
- the site runs on WordPress and other open-source software, which you're free to keep using.
You confirm that you have the right to use anything you send us, such as photos and logos, and that what you ask us to publish is accurate and lawful.
We may show your site as an example of our work only if you give us permission.
7. Hosting and the care plan
Your first 12 months of hosting are included. Hosting includes the security certificate and daily backups, kept for 30 days.
After that, the care plan costs from £35 a month plus VAT. It's optional. It covers hosting, backups, security certificate, updates, uptime monitoring, a short monthly email about your site, and up to 30 minutes of small changes a month, such as text, photos or opening hours. Unused time doesn't roll over.
The care plan runs month to month. You can cancel with {{NOTICE PERIOD}} notice. If you don't take the care plan, or you cancel it, we'll tell you before your hosting ends and help you move the site.
8. If you leave
You can take your website elsewhere at any time. Ask us and we'll give you a full backup of the site and help you move it, within 10 working days.
9. Our responsibility to you
We'll do the work with reasonable care and skill. We can't promise any position in Google or any number of enquiries, and we're not responsible for problems caused by other companies' services, such as domain registries or Google itself. {{ADVISER: LIABILITY CAP AND EXCLUSIONS}}
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
10. Complaints and the law
If something's wrong, tell us first at {{CONTACT EMAIL}}, and we'll put it right where we can. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
